Circulating Endocannabinoids and Human Psychopathology

Cecilia Hillard, G. Frederick Kasten, Jr Endowed Chair in Parkinson’s Disease Research, Professor of Pharmacology, Director of the Neuroscience Research Center & Associate Dean for Research, Medical College of Wisconsin will present “Circulating Endocannabinoids and Human Psychopathology” on March 24, 2023.


The endocannabinoids are present in the human circulation and their concentrations are dynamic.  I will present a review of many studies that support the hypothesis that the endocannabinoid system plays a role in homeostasis and that that circulating concentrations could serve as biomarkers for psychopathology.
